RKS was selected to design an updated version of the Panaflex camera that would enable Panavision to maintain its position as the top designer and manufacturer of cinematography equipment. To convey the camera's classic, timeless origins and state-of-the-art capabilities, the design incorporates many of the visual cues of the legendary Panaflex, while clearly reflecting advancements in ergonomics, controls, and technology.
The updated design features enhanced usability, visual cues for proper operation, in addition to conveying the ruggedness of the camera.
