A key aspect of this program was to not only create a new aesthetic for a moderately priced shower fixture, but to develop a design that would help reduce water consumption at the same time. The design team determined that current solutions require water to flow through sharp 90 degree angles and thin tubing, requiring additional water pressure within the pipes. By completely eliminating all sharp angles in the path of the water flow and using large diameter tubing, RKS reduced the required water pressure for a comparable force coming out of the shower head and thereby significantly reduced the consumption of water.
