Zyliss engaged our design team to redesign their existing Straight-Handled Peelers to increase ergonomics and develop a design language that would help elevate the Zyliss brand. The design team went through 25 form studies and design iterations to perfect the handle shape and size. The loop design creates a unifying design language along with the Long-Handled Tools and Y-Handled Peelers, while adding visual interest and stimulation.
Our design team developed a “jewel effect” with the metal badge by making it smaller and creating a visual “setting” for it. This reduction in badge size enhances the perceived value while at the same time results in a 30 cents per piece cost reduction.
