LG engaged RKS to create design concepts for restyling LG's existing push-to-talk phone. The key mandate was to create a more ruggedized phone while updating the visual aesthetics. RKS and a competing design team each presented LG two concepts for the restyling. In this RKS design, rounded corners minimize damage from drops and a soft-touch black bezel makes the phone a delight to hold. The speaker is prominent, clearly communicating the push-to-talk capabilities, yet it's smoothly integrated into the phone surface. The high-contrast silver adds visual interest and up-to-date detail. Ultimately, LG concluded this RKS design was the winner and put it into production.
