Zyliss needed to reimagine common kitchen tools, peelers, slicers, grinders, and more, to feel emotionally uplifting, easy to use, and visually refined. The aim was to elevate everyday tasks into joyful, reliable experiences.
We conducted user interviews and kitchen-based observational studies to uncover pain points, slippery handles, blunt blades, cluttered storage, and emotional drivers like confidence, clarity, satisfaction. With the Psycho‑Aesthetics® framework, we aligned tool design within the enriched quadrant: balancing practicality with elegance.

How We Used Psycho-Aesthetics™ to Identify Unique Opportunities in the Project.
Using our proprietary Psycho-Aesthetics® 2.0 framework, we conducted in-depth interviews and ethnographic observation in diverse lab settings. We identified key emotional and usability pain points — such as intimidation with complex interfaces, workspace clutter, and trust in precision. These insights guided both the form and interface strategy, ensuring approachability and confidence in operation.
