HAMILTON C6
The HAMILTON-C6 represents a new generation of high-end ventilators. The combination of modularity, ease of use, mobility, and advanced features allows you to personalize your patient's ventilation therapy.
What We Did
The team researched globally to understand the current pain points in the hospital setting to identify key opportunities to create a new standard of care in the critical care setting. The RKS team defined the key technologies and features that would enable Hamilton to continue to lead the market and create the best-in-class solution that would address the key market needs. The team collaborated closely with the Hamilton team to develop these critical new features and technologies to integrate them into the new ventilator system seamlessly. Leveraging our Psycho-Aesthetics methodology, the team iterated and developed an advanced ventilator system and trolley to advance the segment and provide a solution that drove global demand.
Psycho-Aesthetics™
Product design is more than just winning awards; it’s about creating emotional connections between the product and the user. Our human-centered approach, Psycho-Aesthetics, helps us understand and quantify these connections. Our design firm uses it to create innovative products, technologies, services, brands, and more. We aim to create solutions that are relevant and impactful, using our approach to grow our clients’ businesses. With Psycho-Aesthetics as our foundation, we work with clients to establish a common language that can be used throughout our relationship. The opportunity zone for the Hamilton C6 was found to be in the enriched quadrant, providing higher levels of interactivity and self-actualization than the competitive set. Here we wanted to provide providers with the tools and functionality to meet their patient’s needs and create a seamless experience that increases dynamic empowerment.
RKS Design embarked on an extensive research journey to gain a deep understanding of the hospital environment and identify pain points in the critical care setting. Through a global exploration, our team delved into the challenges faced by healthcare professionals and patients, enabling us to uncover key opportunities for innovation.
Leveraging our expertise in research, strategy, and product definition, we worked closely with Hamilton to define the essential technologies and features necessary to create a new standard of care. This collaborative approach allowed us to develop a best-in-class ventilator system that seamlessly integrated the critical new features and technologies, addressing the pressing needs of the market.
Our multidisciplinary team, comprising industrial designers, engineers, and prototyping specialists, utilized the cutting-edge Psycho-Aesthetics methodology to iterate and refine the advanced ventilator system and trolley. By marrying form and function, we created a visually appealing and intuitive solution that not only advanced the critical care segment but also sparked global demand.
From the initial stages of research and strategy to the intricate product definition and engineering processes, our expertise guided every step of the development journey. The result is a state-of-the-art ventilator system that not only meets the highest standards of performance and reliability but also improves the overall patient experience and empowers healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care in critical situations.
