What We Did
We developed the industrial design, UI/UX design, software development, and mechanical engineering, for Meritech’s new IoT smart hand-washing stations and new business model for the growing hygiene segment. The new generation of IoT-enabled smart hand washing stations transformed and elevated Meritech’s technology, which removes more than 99.9% of harmful pathogens in 12 seconds. The new smart stations are for use in industrial food processing, healthcare/medical, and public spaces that eliminates pathogens and promotes health and wellness. Our team led the ground up development for the next generation smart stations, managing every aspect of the program, including significant development challenges; innovating the internal hardware to enable accurate pressure and temperature while developing a more robust and reliable dosing method and developing connected software that provides diagnostics and data to the cloud to allows tracking and monitoring adherence, critical in food processing settings.

The untapped opportunity within the market allowed for the development of a product that engaged the user while saving time.

The CleanTech® EVO Automated Handwashing Station emerged as a touch-free, internet-enabled device that caters to the needs of industrial food processing, healthcare/medical, and public spaces.
The station’s advanced technology removes more than 99.9% of harmful pathogens in just 12 seconds, offering unparalleled efficiency and effectiveness. Our industrial design expertise contributed to the development of a user-friendly interface, featuring an interactive touchscreen display and a large countdown timer that guides users through the hand-washing process. The integration of smart sensors in the washing solution cartridges ensures optimal dispersal, while the refillable design minimizes waste and enhances cost-effectiveness. Furthermore, our software engineering capabilities enabled the creation of a connected software system that provides real-time diagnostics and data to the cloud, facilitating tracking and monitoring for critical food processing settings.
